01. Remote-First Mandate

ShadowCode is permanently and entirely remote. We do not maintain a physical headquarters or commercial office space. Our workspace is entirely digital, enabling our team members to work from locations where they are individually most focused and productive.

02. Operational Hours & Flex-Time

We do not enforce rigid, traditional 9-to-5 working blocks. We evaluate performance purely on output, engineering quality, and hitting milestone sprint deadlines rather than time spent sitting at a desk. Team members control their own schedules, ensuring a healthy integration of personal lives and focused build-time.

03. Communication Guidelines

To guard deep development blocks and eliminate unnecessary meeting overhead, our operational infrastructure relies heavily on asynchronous collaboration frameworks:

GitHub Over Meetings

Code updates, system architecture reviews, architectural layouts, and technical specifications are explicitly documented inside issue trackers and pull requests.

Predictable Milestones

We operate in clear two-week sprints. Synchronization happens via concise technical updates and scheduled weekly staging environment demonstrations rather than frequent status checks.

04. Equipment & Stack Autonomy

Every engineer and product designer on our team has complete ownership over their choice of local environments, hardware setups, and tooling configurations. We focus entirely on making sure that final products deploy cleanly across modern clouds, test suites pass completely, and source trees stay standardized.
